spacer CLASSES AND GROUPS

Krist Samaritan Center strives to offer our clients classes and programs that can help them improve their life situation. We are consistently looking for new ways to provide counseling and education. Be sure to check back frequently for new classes and programs.

“Purposely Chosen” Adoption Program
Purposely Chosen is a four-hour adoption course led by Derek Prins, MA, LPC, which educates individuals on the unique situations and circumstances faced by adoption-touched families. Issues such as loss and grief, attachment, forming a family, and practical parenting skills, will be addressed during the classes.

The program will be offered at the Krist Samaritan Center on the fourth Thursday of every month from 6 to 10 p.m. For more information or to register, call 281.480.7554.

DBSA Support Group
Krist Samaritan Center is now hosting support group sessions for the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) of Greater Houston – a free, confidential support group for people struggling with depression and bipolar disorder, and their families and friends.

Led by trained facilitators, DBSA support groups are held every Thursday evening beginning at 7 p.m. at the Krist Samaritan Center. For more information about DBSA, visit www.dbsahouston.org.
