"April is a promise that May is bound to keep." ~Hal Borland | Flowers are budding, birds are chirping and the weather is warming—April is in the air! The Krist Samaritan Center is also blossoming this spring with the addition of a new counseling location. Read more about this wonderful, new location where every person can go to bloom and grow. So sit back, relax and catch this month’s Spirit.
Welcome Memorial Drive United Methodist Church! Memorial Drive United Methodist Church (MDUMC), a vibrant and active community of faith that has made its mark on the Houston community for almost 50 years, is the Krist Samaritan Center’s newest counseling location. Dr. Franklin Olson, MDUMC’s director of counseling, recently announced his retirement, and the Center was asked to bring its counseling services to the church, continuing the great service he has provided. With this partnership, the Krist Samaritan Center will give MDUMC the ability to serve a more diverse population by providing more opportunities for individuals that need counseling and treatment. We look forward to partnering with Senior Pastor Dr. Chuck Simmons and the Memorial Drive congregation and staff to provide counseling to the Houston Memorial area.
