Local Pastor Training Program

As a pastor, when emergencies arise — death, critical injury, marital conflict, violence — you often arrive first. Demonstrating strength, kindness and ultimately God’s love, you’re sought out by members of your congregation to provide comfort and wisdom in a time when others cannot.

While it’s an honor and a privilege, the responsibility that comes with your calling needs to be nurtured and developed. Even for pastors, being with people in deep pain is never easy. Let us help you become a more confident pastor, enhancing your skills in responding to these situations.

Krist Samaritan Center’s Local Pastor Training Programs strengthen participants in the art of spiritual care. We offer courses to sharpen your skills and deepen your understanding so you can provide effective ministry.

The programs are led by congregational care consultants the Rev. Theodore M. Smith, D.Min. and Denice S. Foose, M.A.P.S., M.B.A.

Sponsorship

As a non-profit organization, it is only through the generosity of others that we’re able to offer specialized programs such as our Local Pastors Training Program. Because of this, we graciously accept sponsorship from individuals, congregations and organizations.

Whether you wish to sponsor a single pastor, a group of pastors or have another outlet in mind, we’d love to speak with you.
