Training for Psychology Interns

Krist Samaritan Center offers psychology pre-doctoral internships for candidates interested in broad and general training in professional psychology. With a staff of clinical and counseling psychologists, the Center assists interns in their transition from novice to early career professional while setting the foundation for postdoctoral training and preparation for licensure in the State of Texas.

Requirements for consideration

Prerequisites:

  • Doctoral candidacy in a regionally accredited Clinical or Counseling Psychology program is required.
  • Preference is given to applicants from universities or professional schools accredited by the American Psychological Association.
  • Applicants must have completed all course work and practica (minimum 800 hours) by the beginning of the internship year.
  • It is recommended that applicants have their dissertation completed prior to entry.

  1. Download application
  2. Submit resume, transcripts and three professional references
  3. Submit biographical statement and denominational letter
  4. Submit $125 application fee
  5. After all other application materials have been received, you will be scheduled to take the MMPI at the Center’s expense.

Application Deadlines:

  • July 15th for fall admission
  • November 1st for spring admission
