Celebrating 25 Years of Non-Profit Service
New Year Marks Significant Anniversary for Krist Samaritan Center
Krist Samaritan Center, a non-profit counseling Center offering top-tier mental health services on a sliding fee scale, celebrates 25 years serving the greater Houston-Galveston community.
The Center opened its doors in 1986 sponsored by three Clear Lake churches who wanted to begin a faith-based counseling center. Today, the Center has more than 70 supporting churches and more than 20 office locations throughout the greater Houston-Galveston area. With more recent additions like MindWorks Testing, a psychological testing program, the Center strives to remain on the cutting-edge of the mental health field.
In honor of its quarter-century achievement, Krist Samaritan Center is unveiling a special anniversary logo. The logo symbolizes the Center’s plans for the future as well as the advancements it has made in the counseling field over the past 25 years. With a bright future and plans for expansion, Krist Samaritan Center would like to further its reach and services in the future, opening more locations throughout Houston and beyond.
“We are extremely proud to celebrate such a meaningful anniversary in 2011,” said Executive Director of Krist Samaritan Center Dr. Gerald DeSobe. “Our 25 years of service is a great testament not only to the amazing support we’ve received from donors, but to the high-quality care given by our clinical staff. It is only through our team’s steadfast dedication that we’re able to further our mission of touching lives and healing hearts.”
