Growing demand for counseling and psychological services boosts need for the Center's programs

HOUSTON – October 7, 2011 – Krist Samaritan Center proudly announces the promotion of Pauline Gallien to chief operating officer and Dr. William July to director of MindWorks Testing. Gallien will retain her previous title of director of development and community relations, and July will continue to serve as a licensed psychologist for the Center.

“Pauline and Dr. July’s experience and capabilities are a great asset to Krist Samaritan Center,” said clinical psychologist and Krist Samaritan Center Executive Director Dr. Gerald DeSobe. “As the need for affordable counseling services in Houston grows and the number of services we offer increases, the dedication of talented professionals such as Pauline and Dr. July becomes even more crucial to our continued success.”

Gallien’s extensive business development, fundraising, community relations and strategic planning experience make her a natural fit to serve as chief operating officer for the Center. With more than 20 years experience in Houston non-profit management, Gallien worked for many years at SER-Jobs for Progress and Interfaith of The Woodlands. With a passion for relationship development, her specialty is creating new opportunities for business growth through collaborative partnerships. Gallien holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Dr. July is a licensed psychologist with specialized experience in a variety of psychological tests and assessments. He formerly served with the Harris County Sheriff’s Department and the Houston Metro Police. He is also the author of nationally bestselling books on relationships and a frequent speaker for mental health-related issues. An adjunct faculty member in the psychology doctoral program at the University of Phoenix, Dr. July earned a Ph.D. in psychology at the Harold Abel School of Psychology at Capella University.
